What makes Michelle so passionate about societal issues?

Michelle MToneZ is an international singer, songwriter, entertainer and producer in the international Australian music scene. Being born in East Africa and having a Portuguese and Indian heritage has inspired her seek help for those who may need it most. As a part of her performance at Now & Not Yet in Warrandyte, she aimed to raise money for those who have experienced domestic violence and refugees who need the most help that they can get. At the early age of nine months, she escaped with her family from civil war in Uganda to England. Her music is deeply influenced by the confluence of cultures and diversity of experiences she’s endured, always trying to embed her heritage into her art as to passionately spread awareness of the importance multiculturalism in Australia. demonstrating the importance of celebrating others cultures and hopefully allowing others to live a free and joyous life here in Australia.

How does her past influence her original music?

Michelle was strongly influenced by her parents love for Indigenous, European, Western and Asian music and culture, all of which are beautifully demonstrated in her original music. Through her life experiences as well as her heritage, she is able to create and formulate experimental and thought provoking pieces that help to highlight what has influenced her in her past, and further more, sharing it with others.

What brought her to the art of performing live music?

Michelle was encouraged by arranger and composer Robert John Sedky to continue to pursue her dream and record and release her own original songs. Then by teaming up with a Los Angeles and Australian producer ARIA award winning Paul Wiltshire. Through the support of her fellow musicians, Michelle was able to showcase her stunning vocals, uplifting music and unique vocals to share with the world the powerful message. She continually reminds us of our deep connection between nature, the earth and ourselves as sacred human beings. Through her music, Michelle MToneZ invited us to honour and contemplate our relationship with ourselves and nature. She encourages us to take action to save our planets golden resources. Through her passion of creating music, she is now able to advocate for issues and enthusiasms to which affect many individuals across the world.

Michelle believes that music is a healing medicine for all people. She believes that we are made up of vibration and therefore tone in music can activate many types of healing for people. MToneZ music encourages people to explore their consciousness and create empowerment for positive social and environmental change. Her worldly journey and personal experience are vividly reflected in her singing, songwriting and visual expression.
